Cebus is Plasmaseal's low cost, low volume alternative. Whole blood is drawn from the patient and the plasma is separated from whole blood by centrifugation in a standard clinical centrifuge. The plasma is transferred to the Cebus single use cartridge. The cartridge is then shaken, not stirred, for 30 seconds to activate the concentrating process. Finally, the cartridge is spun in the same centrifuge at 3000 rpm for 1 and 1/2 minutes. After this cycle is completed the PPC is ready to be removed from the Cebus cartridge and used in the applicator.
